Route Description

Starting from Canute Place in Knutsford, follow the Wilmslow road through Mobberley, taking the short detour on the old road past (or not) The Bulls Head. Turning off the main road through Great Warford eventually ending up (after the steepest part of the route - but no problem with an Ebike) at “The Alderley Edge” where there are magnificent views over Cheshire and Manchester.

Prestbury, the next village, is home to the rich and famous with many exclusive cafes, shops and restaurants to tempt you to stop. Leaving on the Broken Cross road and onwards to the short diversion to the unique Gawsworth Hall. A must to see.

The next village on the route is Chelford where for the thirsty or hungry there is The Egerton Arms. Shortly after we turn off and loop round to Ollerton which has The Dun Cow close by, another welcoming inn and restaurant.

From here it is just a short ride back into Knutsford but don’t miss the large tree carving on the right of King Canute.
