AUTUMN & WINTER CLOSURE:
We are open for rentals until 31 August after which we will be taking a well earned break. We will be closed from the 1 September until further notice.
Cheshire E-bikes was founded and run by father and son Knutsford residents, Andrew and Philip Spark.
Philip is a chartered surveyor working in commercial property and Andrew is now retired from the family group of timber and builder’s merchants.
They first rode E-bikes together in 2016 whilst at ‘The Silverstone Classic’ (Classic Car Race and Show). The E-bikes made getting around the track a doddle, making the whole experience even more memorable and enjoyable. They realised then the potential of E-bikes and could see their popularity could only grow. The seed had been set.
Outside cycling, Andrew is a keen Rugby Union Fan (One of the founding members of the local club) and sometimes helps with driving the rescue boat for Aberdovey Sailing Club. His love of golf ended when, after a particularly bad round, he threw his golf clubs into a lake – took up Bridge, and hasn’t looked back since.
Philip has a young family and spends most of his spare time outdoors, walking the dog, a Hungarian Viszla, and tiring his kids out on bikes. He’s a fair-weather golfer and watches Rugby Union having also hung up his boots.
Cheshire is a great place to cycle with many attractive towns and villages, rolling fields, National Trust houses and a wide choice of pubs/cafes to visit. There’s no surprise that it’s like the Tour De France on a sunny weekend. E-bikes enhance the enjoyment meaning you can cycle further through the picturesque countryside. The Pennine Way Cycle Trail is on the doorstep, plus many signposted routes such as Laureen's Ride which takes a meandering route through the quieter country lanes and paths.
If we know where you are interested in exploring we can easily plan a detailed route based on your start point with many unique stops and watering holes on the way, always avoiding where possible, busy roads. Rides further afield can be attempted by us dropping off and collecting the bikes nearer your planned destination. Just ask for the additional delivery milage cost. We are here to help make the most of your day.
Our e-bikes mean you can often avoid National Trust park entrance fees or town centre parking costs. They also enable you to see more of the small villages and country lanes with many inviting inns to break the journey. With E-bikes, those hills (you would be surprised, there are some in Cheshire) are a breeze and no longer something to dread.
Let the adventure begin.
We support CycleKnutsford. CycleKnutsford is a local community group set up with the aim to keep Knutsford a cycle friendly town.
We recommend The Roebuck, a great place to stay, eat and drink. The Roebuck is an award winning inn situated in the leafy village of Mobberley. It is a Grade II listed building dating back to 1708 and is the oldest inn in the village.
